Leslie Priggen

Leslie Priggen left her 20 year career as a fashion photographer in New York City in 1997 to become a painter specializing in portraiture. Today, her client list spans Europe and the United States.

She has painted many of the top flat and steeplechase horses including Saint Ballado, Congragee, Vindication, Welterweight, Swayo and Buck Jakes. Her portrait of Lonesome Glory is on permanent display at the National Steeplechase Museum.

Although most of her work is commission, Leslie shows regularly. She has been honored with a one person show at the Thoroughbred Racing Museum, two shows with Frost and Reed Gallery in London, as well as with the Crossgate Gallery in Lexington, KY. She has recently been commissioned to paint Zenyatta, 2010 Horse of the Year.
