Lois Borgenicht

Lois Borgenicht was born in New York City.  Her mother, Grace Borgenicht was an artist who later became an art dealer.  When she married painter Warrne Brandt, family life was filled with art adventures.

Lois studied at the School of Art in Fontainebleau, France and art history at Boston University.  She then went to the University School of Fine Arts and the New York Studio School.  When she moved to Baltimore, she privately studied with Paul Moscatt.

Her still lifes and portraits are in many private collections from New York to California.

Lois’ work has been exhibited in New York City; Bridgehampton, New York; Louisville, Kentucky; Corpus Christie, Texas; Rockford, Illinois; and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Her portrait of a New York City police officer was included in “The Face of Courage”, a commemorative art exhibition of portrait paintings of 9/11’s fallen uniformed rescue workers that traveled throughout the country.
