Susan Graeber

Susan Graeber attended the Bryn Mawr School in Baltimore for 14 years, where early on, art was included in the academic curriculum.  After graduation she attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges for one year and the Boston Museum School for two.  She came to realize that she needed a more structured approach and transferred to Maryland Institute College of Art and received her degree in General Fine Arts.

Susan is captivated by the changing light in the landscape and how shapes and color are affected by light.  Her work is in various collections in Belgium, Maine, Vermont, New York City, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Washinton and New Mexico.  She travels mostly to Maine and New Mexico for out-of-state painting trips.

She has participaed in numerous plein air competitions and shows, winning Best Maryland Painter in the Plein Air Easton! and Best Painting Award at the Cylburn Arboretum in Baltimore, Celebration Art.
